Terms of Use
These Terms govern the use of HostGuard by hosts, property managers, and hospitality operators. By using the service, you confirm your full acceptance.

1) Purpose of the service
HostGuard is a private network for verified operators that enables the sharing and consultation of reports on potentially problematic guests, solely to prevent damage, fraud and misconduct, in an ethical and GDPR-compliant way.
2) Eligibility and verification
- Hosts, property managers and lawfully operating hospitality businesses may register.
- Access is subject to manual verification of identity and declared operations.
- The User warrants that the information provided is accurate, up-to-date and truthful.
3) Permitted and prohibited use
Permitted
- Submit documented reports relevant to the platform’s purpose.
- Consult reports for preventive assessment before accepting bookings.
- Comply with data-minimization and confidentiality rules.
Prohibited
- Publish defamatory, discriminatory, offensive or unfounded content.
- Use data for purposes other than prevention (e.g., marketing, public blacklists).
- Share information outside HostGuard without an appropriate legal basis.
4) Reports and content
- Reports must be true, accurate and supported by objective elements (documents, messages, photos of damages, etc.).
- Staff may request additions, mask parts or remove non-compliant content.
- The User is responsible for uploaded content and holds HostGuard harmless from third-party claims related to inaccurate or unlawful information entered by the User.
5) Data processing, Privacy & GDPR
HostGuard applies minimization and pseudonymization, restricted access for verified users and access logging. No public indexing. For details see the Privacy Policy and our 3-Step Test (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest).
6) Intellectual property
Trademarks, logos, interfaces, texts and materials are owned by DIGITIVE or licensed. Reproduction or systematic extraction without written consent is prohibited.
7) Limitation of liability
HostGuard provides a collaboration tool for professionals. Although controls are applied, some content is user-generated. To the extent permitted by law, HostGuard is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of shared information.
Users must act with professional diligence and should not rely solely on single reports for automatic decisions.
8) Suspension and account closure
- We may suspend or close access in case of breaches of these Terms or risks to other Users.
- In urgent cases we may act without prior notice, without prejudice to the right to complain.
9) Fees and billing
Plans and prices will be shown on the Subscribe page before activation. Prices are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
10) Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms for legal or operational reasons. Material changes will be communicated on the website or by email (if available). Continued use after the update implies acceptance.
11) Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Brescia, unless mandatory jurisdiction applies.
